Memorial Day 2013

“I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.”Nathan Hale

In my opinion, Memorial Day is the most important secular holiday on the year’s calendar. There is nothing more precious than a person’s life. It takes great courage for someone to sacrifice for his country and its ideals. I don’t like war, but I understand the reasons of its existence. And I admire every American soldier. Anyone who has followed my blog for sometime could attest this. I wrote poems and stories about the American soldiers not to convince others of my patriotism, but to earnestly show my affections and appreciation for these selfless men and women. This year, the holiday will be observed on Monday May 27.

To celebrate this occasion, I have prepared a fun Memorial Day trivia quiz for you to enjoy. Happy Memorial Day to all!
