This is a true story:
A 70-year old professor of humanities married a 16-year old girl (with her parents’ consent). While he was away at an academic conference, the young spouse took all of his valuables and left for her parents’ home. When the professor returned home, he was arrested by the authorities (for marrying a minor) and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. His crime was reported to the authorities by the girl’s parents. It was still not clear whether or not the girl can claim what was left of her husband’s estate.
