Japan will rise again!

Japan was hit by a massive earthquake and tsunami over the weekend. Hearing this news makes me a little sad, as I have always had a special connection with the Japanese culture and people. In fact, I have written extensively about the country here in this blog and elsewhere. Although it may seem gloomy for Japan at the moment, I have no doubt that the country will recover from this. It should be noted that there have not been even a single report of LOOTING or ANARCHY since the incident. This is in total contrast to what occurred following other recent disasters like the Haiti Earthquake and even Katrina. This shows us that the Japanese are strong and proud people who will rise up from the ashes to rebuild their country. Pray for Japan.
Japan will definitely rise again. Japanese are intelligent, disciplined and hard working people who built one of the top nations in the world on some islands bereft of natural resources. If a disaster of this magnitude had happened to any other country including USA, this will be the end of that nation. But not for Japan. Within a decade or two things will be back better than before.
Your comment is a little overstated. While the Japanese are indeed strong people, there are many other peoples (including Americans) who are equally persevering.
It’s interesting that there has been no looting. It’s similar to an incident here in Stockholm a few years ago when the whole 1.5 million town was in complete snow chaos for 48 hours and not one reported incident of violence. But like Japan we struggle with conformism, which may be the flop side of this trait.
America has more crime and violence as well lawsuits and divorces. But it is also more ingenious, individualistic and full of initiative.
iam glad someone else has written about japan i did aswell when the disaster occured i think they have been through there fare share of misfortune .two nuclear bombs earthquakes and a tsunami they deserve some good luck.
