Culture 101 - Tower of Terror

~ explore Culture 101

Visiting the Eiffel Tower is one exhilarating experience. There is a dangerous side to it, however. Over the years, there have been quite a few instances of people committing suicide by jumping off the famous tower. On more than one occasion, the suicidal person landed on a bystander below. Ironically, the person who jumped off the tower suffered only minor injuries while the poor passerby died of a broken neck. I guess you always have to keep an eye on the sky when passing by a high-rise building. :)

Especially considering all the idiots throwing pennies and stuff from tall buildings (although pennies never reach the speed needed to actually kill someone).

Hahahaha!!! That was funny… But yeah, i wonder if that person who jumped is gonna be charged with murder (probably a death sentence) if he landed on somebody and killed that somebody and survived the fall himself…?????
That’d be so bloody ironic!! :D

Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think? (Like rain and spoons and good advice you can’t take… ;)

Talking about jumpers - did you see my photo of someone threatening to jump off Blackfriars Bridge last Thursday?

Perhaps they should provide everybody who walks under the Eiffel Tower with an umbrella!

The fact about the Eiffel Tower is fascinating, but not all that surprising to me as someone who gets (but resists) the eerie desire to jump like Spiderman from heights.

Yet, why go all the way to Paris just to commit suicide? Idiots!

Boy, that would suck to be on vacation in Paris and get killed by someone jumping off the top of the Eiffel Tower.

I wonder if it’s more, or less, likely to be struck by lightning.

The best places in the world are often plagued with carelessness.

    I’m just joking.

It is a tad bit sad to die while vacationing, though.
